MNight Celebration of Malaysian culture and hospitality

MNight, is a celebration of Malaysian culture and hospitality, involving performances, food, and most importantly, The People. This year’s event is hosted by Newcastle University Malaysian Student Society, sponsored by NUBS and in partnership with Northumbria University, Durham University and Teesside University. Below is a message from the society about what you can expect on the night:

“The North East Malaysian societies of Newcastle this year are getting you on the next flight to Malaysia, to a country filled with culture and immense love.

A tropical country with a buzzing capital city, Kuala Lumpur, is a country that truly never rests. As you walk through the streets of Malaysia; you will always be greeted with a warm smile from the people around you, your senses will tingle as you smell the aroma of food coming from the line of hawker stalls and not to forget how bright the sun shines there.

Join us on the 12th of March, as we get you onto the next flight out of Newcastle directly to Malaysia. A night that will take you on a journey through the steps of The Princess of Mount Ledang; a famous Malaysian folkore with a twist as we take you on a ride filled with the ups and down of love, war and friendship. As the night decends, we end with the power of dance and music. Showcasing talented Malaysians coming together to perform traditional and multicultural songs and dance.”
